比較表現（６）比較級を使わない表現

be superior to （～より優れている）
be inferior to （～より劣っている）

be senior to （～より年上である）
be junior to （～より年下である）

be preferable to （～より好ましい）

以下、例文。

I believe that good books are superior to most TV programs in educating children.

For a growing child a small town seems to be preferable to a large city.

A is three years senior to B. (= A is three years older than B.)
A is senior to B by three years. (= A is older than B by three years.)
