「必要不可欠な」 という形容詞。dispensable は反対語で 「なくても済む」 という意味。


dispense は dispensable の動詞形。「～を分配する」、「～を施す」、「～を施行する」 という意味。


dispense clothing to the needy （困っている人たちに衣服を施す）

dispense with the car = do without the car
